چکیده
Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS) is an important tool for the decarbonization of energy system to achieve mid-century global climate change targets. CO 2 captured using different industrial processes that involve membrane filtering or enhanced combustion. The then transported, preferably by pipeline, a storage site where it injected into permeable reservoir. Sealing capacity paramount importance safe sequestration, avoid any geological leakage. Each CCS project must have dedicated MMV (Measurement, Monitoring Verification) programme ensure conformance with expected evolution plume its containment within site. Eni committed implementation CCS, several ongoing projects.

Carbon Capture and Sequestration (CCS)
Carbon capture and sequestration (or storage)—known as CCS—has attracted interest as a measure for mitigating global climate change because large amounts of carbon dioxide (CO 2) emitted from fossil fuel use in the United States are potentially available to be captured and stored underground or prevented from reaching the atmosphere. Large, industrial sources of CO 2 , such as electricity-gener...

Greenhouse gas emissions have several adverse environmental effects, like pollution and climate change. Currently applied carbon capture and storage (CCS) methods are not cost effective and have not been proven safe for long term sequestration. Another attractive approach is CO2 valorization, whereby CO2 can be captured in the form of biomass via photosynthesis and is subsequently converted int...
